For many of us, deep breathing with the diaphragm seems unnatural. There are several reasons for this. For one, body image has a negative impact on respiration in our culture. A flat stomach is considered attractive, so women (and men) tend to hold in their stomach muscles. This interferes with deep breathing and gradually makes shallow "chest breathing" seem normal, which increases tension and anxiety.

Shallow breathing limits the diaphragm's range of motion. The lowest part of the lungs doesn't get a full share of oxygenated air. That can make you feel short of breath and anxious.

Deep abdominal breathing encourages full oxygen exchange — that is, the beneficial trade of incoming oxygen for outgoing carbon dioxide. Not surprisingly, it can slow the heartbeat and lower or stabilize blood pressure.

It decreases stress, gives us more oxygen, and we can FEEL more.

Look at a baby laying down. It breathes from its belly. Throughout our lives we were taught to breathe with our chest. Be it via stress, or by example, we have lost the art of breathing. But now we regain that right.

With all of this information, how does this relate to manifesting? Well, feeling is the secret to manifestation. The subconscious mind accepts feelings to be true, and therefore recreates the same feelings you feel, into physical reality. Therefore, the goal in the end is to be able to feel what we are visualizing so that our subconscious evaluates it is a real scene. In order to impregnate our subconscious mind effectively, we need to, as I just mentioned, create a scene of the desired result, and enter that scene, in our human imagination and our subconscious mind will be impressed up by this scene.
