Dealing with a troubled teenager

Hi guys, I’m a mother of a 17 year old boy. He has substance abuse issues always struggling at school. I’ve been trying to manifest for him to be a better person but he seems to be getting worse. Everyone says ignore the 3D but when he comes home drunk on whatever he does how can I stay calm and deal with the situation? Also my husband gets really angry with him and they got into a fight this is the reality I’m dealing with. Pls help me out
